Interim Management Committee (IMC) has announced August 26, 2023, as the start of season 2023/24 of the Nigeria Premier League.
Enyimba are the current champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after winning the Super 6 play-off in Lagos last week.
According to the proposed timetable, the season is expected to end in May 2024.
Football stakeholders, including club owners, are expected to meet to deliberate on the proposed date.
It will be recalled that the IMC adopted an abridged format for the 2022/23 season.
The league management board assured that season 2023/24 would go back to full swing where all team is expected to play 38 games.
