Popular Nigerian Islamic singer, Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso has passed away.
Her death came 12 years after her father, Alhaji Aremu AbdurRazaq Gawat, went missing.
It all started as a rumour which quickly spread like wildfire on that fateful day, July 10, 2012, that the famous Muslim broadcaster and anchor of a popular Islamic television quiz on Ramadan, ‘E Dide E Mu Saari Je’, was missing.
While the mystery surrounding Gawat disappearance is yet to be unraveled, the death of his daughter has further complicated the story.
Rukayat was well-known for her captivating voice and religious music that resonated with many in the Muslim community.
The news of her death was shared by popular Ilorin based cleric Alfa Aribidesi At-Tawdeeh Islamic Da’awah his official Facebook page today.
