Fire consumes shops, rooms in Lagos

A Fire outbreak has consumed 10 rooms and two shops, atAnibaba Road, Inward Iyana School, Ishashi, Lagos.

  In its preliminary investigationsthe Dolphin Response Team of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), said the cause of the fire was unknown.

  There were no casualties were reported or deathrecorded.

   ⁠Household properties worth millions were lost to the inferno, including furniture, electronics, and vital documents.

⁠Physical examination revealed partial structural damage to adjacent buildings.

   Also, a lone accident involving an IVECO tipper truck, registration number unknown, laden to capacity with sharp sand, crashed and fell on the BRT corridor, shutting down the entire corridor.

   Preliminary investigations revealed that the immediate cause was reckless driving and speeding by the truck driver, who lost control and fell on the BRT lane.

Fortunately, there was no loss of lives or injury reported in the incident.
