Eleven persons have been killed in cold blood by Islamic terrorists in Gidan/Waya Lere Local Government area of Southern Kaduna while many were abducted.
Those killed are;

Amnesty International condemned the killing, revealing that the attack occurred on the night of November 11, 2025, describing it as another reminder of the Nigerian government’s failure to protect lives and ensure accountability for human rights violations.
“Amnesty International strongly condemns gunmen’s attack on Gidan Waya in Yarkasuwa, Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State, in which 12 were abducted — including children aged 13, 14, and 15.
“The attack, which took place in the night of 11 November 2025, is yet another indication of the stunning failure of the Nigerian authorities to protect lives and ensure accountability for all human rights crimes,” the group said.
The organisation said that since 2016, rural communities across northern Nigeria have lived under constant threat from armed groups, forcing farmers and families to abandon their homes and livelihoods.
It added that Amnesty International had been documenting the “alarming escalation” of attacks and kidnappings in several states across the northwest and north-central regions, noting that the worst-affected areas include Plateau, Zamfara, southern Kaduna, Benue, and Katsina.
The rights group urged the Nigerian government to urgently step-up protection for vulnerable communities and ensure that perpetrators of such attacks are brought to justice.
