Hackers breach Dangote, Otedola phones, demand ransom

Tension has enveloped the business circles surrounding Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola after reports emerged that hackers infiltrated the mobile phones of these two influential businessmen.

Their phones were compromised within the past week, with the intruders making direct financial demands.
Femi Otedola, Chairman of FirstHoldCo Plc, experienced a single breach of his phone, while Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, faced two separate hacking incidents within just 48 hours.

It remains unclear whether the business moguls have regained full control of their devices, but insiders report that the attackers promptly demanded ransom.

“The hackers are asking for money from both men,” a source familiar with the situation told TheCable.
The nature of the demands, the extent of the data compromised, or whether law enforcement has been alerted is yet to be confirmed as of press time.
