Akinfe Congratulates Larogbo As Irele Council of Obas Gets New Leadership

Today, March 5, 2026, Irele Local Government witnessed a smooth transition of leadership in the Traditional Council, as HRM, Oba Akinfolarin Elumaro, Esq., the Larogbo of Akotogbo Kingdom, emerged as the new Chairman of council of Obas, following the expiration of the tenure of Odogbo of Omi, Oba Olorunsola Akinyelure.

Chairman of the Council, Olajide Akinfe, in his address, said, the pivotal roles traditional rulers play in community development and peace-building, can never be overemphasized.

He congratulated Larogbo and urged the monarch to deploy his enormous wisdom and vast experience in the temple of justice to steer the Council towards greater heights.

According to Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Irele Local Government, Aro Olorunyomi Victor, while expressing his profound gratitude to the outgoing chairman, HRM, Oba Olorunsola Akinyelure, for his tireless efforts and dedication which he said has fostered peace and unity in the area, Akinfe wished Larogbo well in his new assignment, assuring him and the Traditional Council of his unwavering support and commitment to their welfare.

At the event were the Traditional Rulers from the Area, Secretary to the LG, Yemi Otutu, Head of LG Administration, Olufunmi JP, and others.
