Youths Advocacy for Good Governance (YAGGO), Ondo South Constituency, Ondo State has warned the Nigerian youths that the August 1-10 2024 End Bad Governance In Nigeria(EBGiN) protest is coming at the wrong time.
The group had earlier called on the hungry and angry youths to embrace dialogue or protest peacefully.
The group said that protest is an inalienable right of every citizen but charged the youths to prioritize peace while showing their grievances, to avoid compounding the existing hardships, on which they premised the protest.

In the words of the convener, Comrade Aro Olorunyomi Victor, “We, at YAGGO, strongly believe in protest as a way of putting governments on their toes, we are of the view that the timing is wrong.”

“However, since it is the right no government can take away from the citizens in a constitutional democracy, we hereby call on the youths across the nation, to ensure they are well coordinated, and never allow anyone or group to hijack the protest, for their selfish interests.”
“As we join Adegboruwa SAN, to call on the organisers to reduce the protest to a day exercise while continuing in dialogue with the government. We equally call on all security agents to be professional in their conduct, provide adequate security for protesters and give a close monitoring of events all through the period, to forestall the breakdown of law and orders.

“We call on President Bola Tinubu, to pay attention to the youths’ agitations, provide a clear-cut solution, and declare a state of emergency on insecurity, unemployment, economic meltdown, hunger and inflation, in the society.
