A housemate in Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10, Bright Morgan, has been hit with a double strike for violent behaviour.
The incident involved Bright physically assaulting fellow contestant Faith during an argument over a cigarette and lighter.
Bright punched and shoved Faith and was unapologetic about it. The action led to Big Brother issuing him two strikes at once.
This makes Bright Morgan the first housemate this season to receive a double strike and puts him just one step away from immediate disqualification.
This is not Bright Morgan’s first run-in with aggressive behavior in the house. Earlier in the season, he nearly fought with another housemate, Kayikunmi, after a disagreement during a Head of House lounge summons.
The earlier incident was not punished at the time, which stirred debate among viewers about consistency in rule enforcement.
Bright Morgan’s double strike is seen as a significant disciplinary action this season, especially amid criticism of Big Brother being lenient on other misconducts.
Alongside Bright’s punishment, other housemates were also sanctioned on the same day: Sultana was banned from alcohol for one week following an incident while intoxicated, and Kuture received a final warning for threatening physical violence against another housemate.
With two strikes, Bright Morgan’s fate in the competition hangs in balance. One more serious violation will lead to automatic disqualification.
This makes his position in the house very precarious, and many viewers are watching to see if he will change his behavior or be disqualified soon.
