Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman has been crowned the best footballer in Africa after winning the CAF Men’s Player of the Year Award.
Lookman won the CAF Men’s Player of the Year Award for 2024 on Monday in the city of Marrakesh in Morocco.
The Atlanta of Italy star succeeds his national teammate, Victor Osimhen to become the sixth Nigerian player in history to win the African footballer of the year award.

“This award is a blessing to me and my nation. I am proud of this. To the young children, don’t let your failures weigh you down,” Lookman said after receiving the award.
Lookman defeated Ronwen Williams, Simon Adingra, Serhou Guirassy and Achraf Hakimi to win the best African player of 2024.
