The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, NPM, Ph.D., has officially appointed Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force.
CSP Hundeyin, a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both public relations and security, is a graduate of Lagos State University with a BA (Hons) in English Language. He also holds an MSc in Legal Criminology & Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan. In addition, he completed a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination at the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre in Jaji, Kaduna State. He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).

Prior to his new appointment, CSP Hundeyin served in various key positions, including as the Police Public Relations Officer at Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Lagos, and as part of the Nigerian contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan, in 2020. He also served as the Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department in Abuja, and more recently, as the Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police Command.
In his new role, CSP Hundeyin has been tasked by IGP Egbetokun to utilize his wealth of communication expertise and security knowledge to enhance the Nigeria Police Force’s public relations efforts, fostering positive relations with the public.
