Ipswich Town Return To EPL After 23 Years

Ipswich Town on Saturday gained promotion to the upper division after 23 years.

Ipswich joined Leicester City to secure the two automatic promotion tickets after defeating Huddersfield 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Given Kieran McKenna’s team already had a three-point lead over third-placed Leeds going into the final fixture of the season and needed a draw to secure promotion.
Goals from Wes Burns and Omari Hutchinson were enough for them on the day.
The Tractor Boys have now completed historic back-to-back promotions.

Last season, they won automatic promotion from Sky Bet League One as runners-up to Plymouth.
