Lucky Aiyedatiwa: Ondo’s Curse in Power By Dr Waziri

This is the face of the worst governor Ondo State has ever produced. With a humongous FAAC allocation of nearly ₦140 billion, plus extra oil derivation funds as an oil-producing state, with one of Nigeria’s richest coastlines, fertile lands for cocoa and cash crops, abundant mineral deposits, and an intelligent human capital base at home and abroad .

What has Lucky Aiyedatiwa done? Absolutely nothing!

This is a man who hustled, blackmailed, and betrayed his way into power, a Machiavellian schemer who plunged his late boss’s administration into chaos only to emerge as governor. And since then? Clueless. Directionless. Corruption personified.

Twenty months in office, and he can’t even form a cabinet. Governance is alien to him. Leadership is beyond him. Competence is impossible for him. All he knows is steal, squander, and gorge on public funds like a glutton without conscience.

And once again, the “riverine” axis of Ondo State: Ikale, Ilaje, Ijaw, etc, has cursed Ondo people with yet another disaster. History shows that whenever power shifts there, the state is set back 20 years. Their senators, representatives, OSOPADEC chairmen, same old story: selfish, greedy, wasteful politicians. And now, Aiyedatiwa, a shambolic buffoon, a vagabond in power, continues that cursed tradition.

What’s worse, his kinsman @YeleSowore Omoyele Sowore, a self proclaimed “ALUTA GENERAL” usually quick to shout and scream at politicians nationwide, suddenly grows mute and toothless when it comes to the monumental corruption of his own tribal brother. Why the silence, Sowore?
Why the cowardly hypocrisy?

Aiyedatiwa is busy paying media hirelings to whitewash his failures. Let it be known: no propaganda can save him. He must either work or resign. The people of Ondo will soon rise, and when they do, neither his stolen billions nor his tribal apologists will shield him from the wrath of the people and the gods of Ondo land.

Ondo State is not your personal fiefdom, Aiyedatiwa.
Work or Your time is up.
