Police officers detained in Delta after video of sorting daily ‘rogers’ went viral

Two police officers have been detained while two others were queried by the Delta State Police Command after they were filmed sorting what seems to be money collected on the road.

  The video of the police officers attached to the viral Asaba, Delta State Division went viral, generating buzz.

  The spokesperson of the Command, Bright Edafe promised that the Command will investigate and punish those involved.

Hours later, he posted the video of the officers standing before the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Olufemi Abaniwonda.

   Edafe said: “The policemen in the embarrassing video have been identified and arrested. They appeared before the CP today(yesterday), the four personnel,  two of them who are senior officers have been queried while the two inspectors have been detained and awaiting an orderly room trial.”

  The Commissioner of Police  reaffirmed the command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property within the state.

He urged citizens to promptly report suspicious persons or activities, stressing that early reporting is key to preventing crime.
