A young woman, Jessica has died following complications from a secondary Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery at Cynosure Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in Lagos.

The news has sparked significant outcry on social media, with friends and family calling for an investigation into the hospital’s safety protocols.

According to sources, the deceased had initially approached a different clinic, identified as Indigo, for the procedure.

Reports suggest that Indigo declined to operate, allegedly informing the woman that her skin was “too light” to safely proceed with the surgery.

Following this refusal, the woman sought out Cynosure Hospital, where the surgery was ultimately performed.

It is reported that the procedure later became infected.

The heart of the accountability debate lies in the post-operative care.

Loved ones have alleged that during the critical hours when the infection took hold, the hospital staff “abandoned” her.

They claim a lack of emergency intervention and professional oversight led directly to her death.

The recurring nature of these incidents has sparked fresh calls for the Lagos State Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) to take more decisive action regarding the hospital’s operational license and safety standards.
